2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? Many Christians want to be accepted and liked just like every human but we must be extremely careful about who we chose are friends to be.
I have met people that don’t understand that when they have a friend or their dating some one who is not serving Jesus Christ they are serving the anti-Christ. To my surprise I have met older Christians that have a good strong belief in the word of God but they even fall short of this scripture when it comes to their children because some of their children are saved and some are not saved but they really want all their children to be close to one another.
So many times I have seen a person really seeking after God and their friend or their sibling who wasn’t saved hurt or destroyed their walk with God because lets face the facts, we can lie to ourselves all day long but we as Christians are just like other people. We are either going to influence some one to be like Christ or some one unsaved is going to influence us to be more like the anti-Christ.
So many people have said well my friend encouraged me to go to college, or move here or there, or they encouraged me to do this or that but is this, really what God wanted? I met a man that was told by his unsaved friends to divorce his wife because she didn’t treat him right, so he did but isn’t it amazing how many times God says he hates divorce. One time a young woman came to me for some help and her mother agreed that I could help her but when I told this woman that she is living in sin and she needs to get away from this guy she’s not married to, this young woman’s mom was so upset because this guy that her daughter lived with was making good money.
We must choose will we serve money, our flesh, Satan or the most high God? See a Christian is spirit led, which means they want to do something that would please God. If a person isn’t saved, do we really think they would want to do the will of God or do we really think their hearing from God? See when a person isn’t saved can we expect them to want to do any thing righteous when their father Satan is 100% against God and every thing God stands for? We must understand this that Satan is a liar, a thief, and father of lies and is a master at deceiving people.
So many Christians have said well I don’t believe its wrong for me to have sex with this person sense I am going to marry them but we can’t pick and choose what scriptures we want to follow. Look at Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
See some people think I am judgmental for pointing this out but if God says it’s wrong than it’s wrong. See we can’t expect to claim how much we love God but yet be united to a person that serves Satan or serves their flesh in sin. Every single person wants to be loved and those that have indulged in sexual sins now have a very difficult time staying pure but God made the body he can take care of the body’s sexual needs. There are no excuses for sexual sins. So please let’s get honest, sin is sin. And please realize this that an unsaved person is going to give you advice only to fulfill their father Satan’s will for your life, so if you want the blessings of the most high God humble your self and seek out God the most high God.
